Vaccinations
We firmly believe that vaccines are effective in preventing diseases and that unvaccinated campers pose a risk to our camp population. We require the same vaccinations required by the California Department of Education.
Please CLICK HERE to view the most recent vaccination requirements.
If your child has not received one or more of the immunizations required by the California Department of Education, you are required to:
1. Complete a vaccination exemption request (available when completing the health form).
2. Submit copies of medical exemptions (if your camper’s delayed vaccination status is due to documented medical reasons).
3. Submit a note from your pediatrician meeting specific requirements, also outlined on the vaccination exemption request. The note must be written within 30 days of your child’s first day of camp and must say that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, your child is free from all communicable or contagious diseases.
Should your child be exposed to or be diagnosed with a communicable disease typically prevented through vaccination, they will most likely be quarantined (as recommended by the CDC) and may be excluded from camp for up to 25 days. In this event, Camp Kinneret will not be liable for providing makeup opportunities or credit for missed camp days. Please contact our office with any questions.
*At this time we do not require a COVID-19 vaccine for camper-aged children. We will, however, request your camper’s COVID-19 vaccination status on their Health & Information Form.
